Northern Ancestry 2

There are several websites to help you with your search. Ancestry.com is, I believe, the most popular one to use.      I also checked out collectionscanada. They have some neat old photos of the north. You can see some of them in the Nunatsiaq newspaper asking if you know your elders and they have listed their contact information. One time, I saw a picture that couldn't be identified by collectionscanada, it was a group of adolesences maybe three or fours years older than I am. I showed it to the people who were in the picture and they were amazed that they were considered elders. The picture was taken in the late seventies.
I have researched on my great-grandfather through the internet and found some pics and docs about him. He was engaged and wanted to explore the north before getting married. About a year later, he returned only to find his fiance married already. Thus he returned to the north and stayed there. He married and Inuk woman and became a well-known german in the north. So you can say that I am a quarter or an eightth german.
